hi! I'm ali!
I’ve always been passionate for words and pictures. Growing up you could usually find me with my nose in a book or a crayon in hand. I also had a love for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. As you may remember, they befriended a reporter, April O’Neil. So, taking all these things into account when time came to “grow up” and venture out into the real world I decided to major in Journalism Graphics.
I graduated from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana (home of Garfield and David Letterman) in 2009. After a few years in journalism working for the Gannett Southeast papers I was given the opportunity to join the creative team at Cross Point Church in Nashville, Tennessee. At Cross Point I was able to use my skills in design and communications as well as put to use my passion for details and planning (who doesn’t love planning a good creative meeting after all?).
I started working with churches and organizations around the country to tell their stories through visuals as a freelancer in 2017. I love being a freelance designer — it is never boring and always changing. But the best part is the amazing people around the country I have a pleasure to walk along side of telling their story.
With my unique background from a deadline driven-business, using visuals to communicate complex ideas and working with all aspects of a church creative team, I am ready to partner with your organization to create stunning visuals. I love a quick deadline, thinking on my feet and creating one of a kind art that connects people with Jesus!
Some of my other favorite things are traveling, a good cup of coffee, getting lost in a bookstore or laughing on a rollercoaster. The best is when I get to do those things with my family.
I hope we get to connect and work together soon!
